Warning to Thais to reserve 6-12 months of money to cope with the Trump-era economy

Suan Dusit Poll, Suan Dusit University, revealed the results of a survey on “Thai people and coping with economic problems” from a sample group of 1,229 people. It was found that the majority, 51.59 percent, were somewhat worried about the current economic situation, while 40.60 percent were very worried. The most concerning issues were rising product prices, rising cost of living, and household debt.

When asked about emergency reserves in case of no income, it was found that almost half or 48.32 percent had reserves that could last less than a month, and another 35.24 percent had reserves of only 1-3 months. In total, more than 83 percent were at risk. In addition, 76.06 percent of the sample group did not trust the government in solving the impact of the US import tariffs.
